Higher Education Commission (HEC) Alert about Fake Agents for Attestation of Degrees

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has issued a public alert to caution students and parents about fraudulent degree attestation agents falsely claiming affiliation with HEC. The commission emphasizes the deceptive practices of certain individuals who, posing as “agents,” promise assistance in attesting degrees and transcripts. These agents, in some instances, deceive applicants by affixing counterfeit HEC Stamps/Tickets on authentic documents. The HEC warns that degrees and transcripts bearing fake stamps may be confiscated upon submission. Everyone is strongly advised to exercise utmost caution, adhering to the prescribed attestation procedure and refraining from involving potentially fraudulent agents. It is crucial for students and parents to be vigilant and prioritize the authorized channels to ensure the legitimacy of the attestation process.
